The Red Lady Hussar
An emancipated wine for the emancipated woman
The history
At the time Emperor Franz Josef was ruling, there was a young Hussar
who distinguished himself through bravery and special talents, and he
was soon accepted into the Guards regiment. He became famous for his
many heroic acts, but one day in 1849, during the Hungarian
Revolution, he became severely wounded in battle.
How great was the surprise when it was discovered that this brave
Hussar was actually a she! After some time, she was promoted to
First Lieutenant and became known as Maria Lebstueck in the history
books. Regardless whether one thinks of Jeanne dArc, the maiden of
New Orleans, or of Maria Lebstueck, the red Lady Hussar, - history has
shown that women have always stood their man and were able to take up
the role of important leaders.
Now, this emancipation is reflected in the Rote Husarin, an
emancipated, full-bodied yet mild, dark red wine from sunny
Burgenland, semi-dry with low alcohol content.
Die Rote Husarin - A scintillating delight invoking pleasure and
health!
