What is a Husar Wine?

The term “Husar” describes an elite group of cavalrymen, leaders of troops for many centuries. Only the bravest and best horsemen were selected. The Hussars were connoisseurs of good wines and only chose the best. Soon, the term “Husarenwein” was applied to an exceptionally good wine.

Red Husar
THE famous red wine from Burgenland. The mild Rotburger has an enticing dark ruby-red color. The bouquet of this quality wine is full of taste, slightly tangy, rich in body and tannin, with an appealing acidity.



 
 
   
 



Lady Husar
The Blauburger is a fine, delicate and yet temperamental and full-bodied red wine for a Lady! Dark red, strong color; soft and smooth taste.





 
 

   
 


Yellow Husar
A light, full-bodied and fruity Welschriesling with a delicate Riesling bouquet. The fine acidity and prickliness round up the harmony of this wine, particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.



 
 
   
 



Blue Husar
A flowery, full-bodied Blaufraenkisch Wine from the best locations of Burgenland. Light red to ruby-red color, delicate acidity, fine bouquet and fruity in taste



 
 
   
 


Fiery Husar
A Cabernet Sauvignon, dry and racy taste, rich in extract and alcohol; very tempting due to its juicy, fine acidity which gives this wine a remarkable freshness.




 
 
   
 


Black Husar
A Pinot Noir with an excellent, fruity bouquet with a typical Burgundy Note. Full-bodied, velvety and dry in taste, slightly tangy, with an attractive acidity.



 
 
   
 



Green Husar
A light, fizzy dry Gruener Veltliner, complemented with a fine, delicate and fruity acidity. A wine for connoisseurs and those who love light wines of good quality and high standard



 
 
   
 


White Husar
A pale yellow, full-bodied Pinot Blanc with a tangy acidity, fine bouquet and superior taste. The elegant, very mild and spicy flavor distinguish this excellent wine.




 
 
   
 


Pink Husar
A light, fruity Blaufraenkisch Rose, the result of a very quick processing of fully ripened grapes. A special high quality wine for connoisseurs.



 
 
   
 


Honey-yellow Husar

Silver Husar
A noble, superior Chardonnay; dry, elegant and fine taste. Markedly fruity in aroma and taste, with a perfect balance of acidity and alcohol. The wine for special occasions!




 
 
   
 


Golden Husar
A pale, golden to topaz color and rich, oily appearance distinguish this outstanding wine. Harvested very late, the grapes produce a superior wine (135* Oechsle) which perfectly combines all character attributes of its sort. A remainder of 75 grams of sweet residue make this “Ausbruch” an unexcelled experience!
